This is for you. This is for all the good times you laughed through, all the pain you cried through, and all the hard things you learned through. This is for your dreams…Your goals and aspirations. This is for everything you’ve ever wished for, and all you’ve ever accomplished. Here’s to you! This is for 2018…
“Do not worry about the small things going on in your life that may seem like big things in the moment. I’m with you through every step of the way and I will never leave your side. Don’t worry about your tomorrows, but instead, lean on the knowledge that I have a perfect plan for your future that goes beyond anything you could ever imagine. I know your every step before you take it and every word you say before you think it. Nothing you will do is unknown to me and as you rely on me, I will lead you in your life. Life can be hard and confusing at times, and the unknown can be scary but when you feel like the world’s closing in, just rest in the peace of my perfect love.
You are a thousand times enough and nothing you will do or have done will change my affections for you. You are perfect just the way I created you to be and you don’t ever have to feel like you need to change to please anyone. Do your very best in all that you put your hands to do, and when you feel like giving up, remember the root of your motivation and passion. Love even when it’s hard…Especially when it’s hard, because that’s what real true love looks like. Don’t give up on yourself, and be confident in the fact that you CAN do it even if the thought scares you.
You are capable of anything you set your mind and heart to do. Let your words be uplifting; used to build others up, and stand strong in your beliefs even when you find yourself standing alone. You are made for a purpose, and there are far more exciting experiences for you in 2018. I love you so much, and I can’t wait to see how far you grow in your wisdom and character as this year unfolds. As always, I am so proud of you, and who you’ve become, and I’ll be cheering you on right beside you through these months to come.”
As this year is coming to a close, I decided to take some time to reflect on this past year, and all the experiences, hardships, and fond memories that I have lived through. I’ve had lots of laughs, lots of late nights, a few tears, and much love from family and friends. I’m not quite sure what my goals were for 2017, but I know I’ve grown so much in this year, and that I have so much more to learn and so many more experiences and sights to see. New Years Resolutions are often regarded as an ever-occurring joke of things we wish could be, but deep down, we know won’t really happen. Sure, it might be hard, and even unlikely to hold yourself to something for an entire year, but if we don’t even try in the beginning, then we’ve already been defeated. I know that sounds like overkill, but the truth of the matter is that that mindset can work its way into our everyday life, and I for one don’t want to give up before I even try.
SO! Sort of a bunny trail from where I was originally trying to go, but to get back on track…I asked God what He saw for 2018, and I wrote down what I felt in my heart (above). I wasn’t planning on posting it here, but I decided to share it with all of y’all, because who knows?! If I needed to hear this, what are the chances that someone else might too… Right? Okay sorry for the rambling! This is to us! You may not have had the greatest year, or you might’ve had a fantastic 2017, but regardless…You can make 2018 anything you want it to be. It’s up to you. Sure, circumstances may get in the way, but in the end, you are the deciding factor on whether or not you will give up or get back up! Sounds clichéd, but I’ve found that the most obvious things turn out to be as close to the truth as it gets😉
May y’all have a blessed 2018 ❤️
